WaterMark Certification Guide - Certified Drainage
Guide to WaterMark certification for drainage products.
WaterMark Certification is a mandatory, government-administered scheme for most plumbing and drainage products used in Australia and New Zealand.
Key requirements: products must be tested to relevant Australian Standards (AS 3500 for plumbing), certification is administered by the WaterMark Product Database, products must display the WaterMark logo and licence number, and plumbers cannot legally install non-WaterMark products in many applications.
NCC 2022 (National Construction Code) amendments changed grading and floor waste requirements, including specific slopes (1:80 to 1:50) for wet areas.
AS 3740 covers waterproofing of domestic wet areas and specifies requirements for floor waste installation in shower rooms and bathrooms above other units.
