Product Details

A washing machine drain connector solves one of the most common drainage failures in apartments: several waste pipes, one floor drain. In laundry corners and bathrooms worldwide, the washing machine standpipe, the basin tailpiece and sometimes an air-conditioner condensate hose all need to discharge through a single floor drain opening. Simply pushing a loose pipe into the drain lets sewer gas travel back up the pipe gap, and high-flow machine discharge can blow the pipe out of the socket and flood the floor. Our connector family seals every pipe into one anti-odor assembly that sits directly on the floor drain.
How the Anti-Odor Connector Works: Each connector is a moulded body (straight, tee, Y or cross) with a wide sealing flange that plugs into the floor drain bore, and one or more upward inlets that receive waste pipes. Inside each inlet, a one-way sealing element closes around the pipe and shuts when flow stops, blocking sewer gases and drain flies from entering the room. Because the seal is mechanical rather than water-based, it keeps working even when the laundry drain sits dry between washes — the exact situation where an open pipe into an untrapped drain causes odor complaints. The body also retains the building's existing trap below, so the connector adds odor protection without replacing plumbing.
Universal Sizing for Export Markets: The telescopic reducing nozzle adapts to drain pipes from 16mm to 35mm: roughly 16mm air-conditioner condensate hoses, 25mm front-loading washing machine pipes and 32mm basin tailpieces — the three pipe sizes that dominate residential drainage in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America. The sealing flange installs into floor drains with a 35-45mm hole diameter, covering the common 40mm and 50mm waste outlets. Included step-sealing rings close the gap when a smaller pipe is used in the side inlet.
Configuration Guide: (1) Straight connector — one pipe, one drain: the simplest washing machine or basin installation; (2) Oblique tee — washing machine straight through plus an angled side inlet for the basin pipe, keeping both standpipes clear of the cabinet behind; (3) Inline tee — side branch at 90° where the basin pipe drops vertically beside the machine; (4) Y-branch — two pipes entering symmetrically for double-standpipe laundry setups; (5) 4-way cross — machine, basin and spare inlet for utility rooms. Match the number of live waste pipes in the room, then choose the body that keeps hose routing short and un-kinked.
Why This Matters in Warm-Climate Markets: In hot, dry climates — the Gulf, Egypt, and much of Southeast Asia — water in floor drain traps evaporates quickly, and an open washing machine pipe pushed into a dry drain becomes a direct path for sewer gas into the home. Anti-odor connectors with a mechanical seal are the standard local remedy, sold through hardware channels and specified by contractors. For projects that also need odor protection in the floor drain body itself, pair these connectors with our waterless trap inserts and mechanical odor traps. See the laundry drainage solution for the full drain-and-trap specification.
OEM/ODM & Packaging: These connectors are a natural basket-addition for importers already buying stainless floor drains: one container, complementary SKUs, higher order value. We support custom colour (standard white, black on request), branded blister or card packaging, barcode assignment, and mixed-SKU carton packing. Send your market's pipe and drain dimensions and we will confirm fit or adapt the tooling.

Installation Guide

Push-Fit Installation (no tools required):
Step 1 — Check compatibility: Confirm the floor drain bore is 35-45mm and each waste pipe is 16-35mm. Clean the drain opening and remove any loose grate.
Step 2 — Fit sealing rings: For pipes smaller than the inlet size, wrap the included step-sealing ring around the pipe end before insertion (e.g. 25mm machine pipe in a 32mm inlet).
Step 3 — Assemble the body: Push the connector flange firmly into the floor drain until the wide collar seats flat on the tile. The internal seal should grip the drain bore around the full circumference.
Step 4 — Insert pipes: Push each waste pipe into its inlet until it stops; the one-way seal closes around the pipe. Verify the washing machine standpipe is held upright without kinks.
Step 5 — Flow test: Run the washing machine through a drain cycle and run the basin tap at full flow. Check for odor at the drain, for leaks at each joint, and confirm the connector does not lift or blow its seals under surge flow.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a washing machine floor drain connector?

A washing machine floor drain connector is a push-fit adapter that seals a washing machine waste pipe — and optionally a basin tailpiece or air-conditioner hose — into a floor drain opening. The connector body plugs into the drain bore with a wide rubber flange, and its inlets grip each pipe with a one-way seal that closes when flow stops. This blocks sewer gas from travelling up the gap around a loose pipe and prevents high-pressure machine discharge from blowing the pipe out of the drain and flooding the floor.

What pipe sizes and drain holes does it fit?

The telescopic reducing nozzle is compatible with drain pipes from 16mm to 35mm, which covers the three common residential sizes: around 16mm air-conditioner condensate hoses, around 25mm front-loading washing machine pipes and around 32mm basin tailpieces. The sealing flange installs into floor drains with a 35-45mm hole diameter, covering standard 40mm and 50mm waste outlets. Included step-sealing rings adapt smaller pipes to larger inlets. If your market uses different sizes, send us the dimensions — the tooling can be adapted under OEM/ODM.

Which configuration do I need: straight, tee, Y or cross?

Count the waste pipes that must discharge through the one floor drain. One pipe: straight connector. Two pipes (typically washing machine plus basin): a tee — oblique tee when the basin pipe needs to angle away from the cabinet behind, inline tee when it drops vertically. Two symmetrical standpipes: Y-branch. Three or more (utility rooms with machine, sink and spare inlet): 4-way cross. Importers usually stock straight and oblique tee as core SKUs and add cross for Middle East and Southeast Asian laundry-corner markets.

Does the connector stop odour if my floor drain trap dries out?

The connector seals the gap around the pipes, so odour cannot escape up the space beside them, and its one-way inlet seals close when flow stops. However, if the drain below has no water (trap fully evaporated) gases can still travel up around the connector flange in heavy surges. In hot, dry climates we recommend the complete setup: anti-odor connector above, plus a [waterless trap insert](/products/smart-anti-odor-traps/waterless/) or [mechanical odor trap](/products/smart-anti-odor-traps/mechanical/) inside the drain body. Together they seal both paths.

Can I import these connectors together with stainless steel floor drains?

Yes — that is the intended sales pattern. The connectors are low-weight accessory SKUs (approx. 210g each) that ride along in the same container as floor drains, lifting order value for hardware stores, sanitaryware wholesalers and bathroom retailers. We support custom colour, branded blister or card packaging, barcode assignment and mixed-SKU cartons. Tell us your market's pipe and drain dimensions and we will confirm fit or quote tooling adaptation.

How do I clean the connector?

Pull the waste pipes out of the inlets (a quarter-turn plus gentle pull releases them), then lift the whole body out of the drain bore. Rinse the body, check the rubber flange and one-way seals for lint or debris, and re-push everything home. No tools are needed and the unit re-seats automatically. We recommend checking the seals annually in hard-water markets.
